The government recently announced that it would be stopping support for community energy projects and substantially reducing its Feed-in-Tariffs for renewable energy:

This has had a serious effect on projects:
Futures Forum: Balcombe: community-owned solar park brought to an end by government cuts: "either they haven't got a clue about business, or they are trying to destroy the community energy sector."
However, projects are still going ahead:

Sidmouth's community energy project is also determined to forge ahead:
