The Herald carried a very positive piece about Transition Town Exmouth's AGM tomorrow:

Transition Exmouth - the town’s environmental group, whose work includes tree planting (pictured) - is holding its annual general meeting on Saturday, June 20.
It’s at 2.30pm in the Open Door Centre, in Chapel Street. The group is dedicated to tackling the dual crisis of peak oil and climate change.
“We are a voluntary body set up seven years ago to tackle the pressing environmental issues of our era on a local basis,” says Transition Exmouth chairman Adrian Toole.
“Our structure encourages everyone to take the initiative in starting study groups or action groups in any field of interest that is compatible with our mission of preparing to thrive and even to enhance our lives in a future where we can no longer waste energy as in the past and where the effects of human-induced climate change are increasingly felt.
“Our AGM is an opportunity to meet up and hear about the events of the past year and to plan for the future. The officers will be offering themselves for re-election and hopefully others will offer themselves for election also. There are a number of unfilled posts so we welcome new faces.
“To that end we are inviting all supporters to the AGM and those motivated to get involved may join up there and then.”
Transition Exmouth acts as an “umbrella” group for other green groups in the town, including Xcycle, Exmouth Lets and Sustainable Exmouth.
