"Time for a change! What’s happening in local politics..." > reports from 24th May event in Honiton

The East Devon Alliance held a conference last month in Honiton:
Futures Forum: "Time for a change! What’s happening in local politics" > event at Honiton Beehive Centre > Saturday 26th May > East Devon Alliance > Flatpack Democracy > Devon United > Buckfastleigh Independents

It was quite a show:

Enjoyed the conference in Honiton today. Thanks to all the speakers including the excellent Pam Barrett who travelled all the way from Buckfastleigh to tell us about the 'revolution' at their Town Council. Also Claire Wright, speaking about her time on EDDC and our own Geoff Jung, covering planning battles and future concerns with the Greater Exeter Strategic Plan.

And a message from the EDA's leader:

Dear all,
Many thanks to those of you who joined us in Honiton for the second EDA conference on Saturday May 25th.  We trust that you found the meeting both stimulating and enjoyable. We hope to hold another event this autumn and again in early 2019, to launch our District election campaign. The dates will be made public as possible, so keep a look out for communications from us.
Our website is going to have an overhaul this summer but you can keep up to date on our facebook page  facebook.com/eastdevonalliance/
Attached HERE is a report on our conference from the new Paper for Honiton. This may be useful for those of you who were unable to come.
We look forward to seeing you all at the next event, if not before,
Yours sincerely,
Cllr Dr Cathy Gardner
