This evening's first event of the Plastics Week brought up lots of the latest research into plastics pollution:

And one of the most important pieces of research looking at our behaviours has been the awareness raising project Marlisco:
Marine environments are central to human well-being, but they are also extensively threatened by our activities. MARLISCO seeks to raise awareness of both the problems and the solutions to a key issue threatening marine habitats worldwide - the accumulation of marine litter.
