Futures Forum: Transition Network >>> Regional workshop South West >>> Exeter 23rd September
Here's a reminder from the organisers:
Hi all,
Hope your summer has been good and you feel a little refreshed!
I'm writing to remind you of the upcoming Regional Network Workshop for the
South West, here's the details:
When? Saturday 23rd September, 10am - 4.30pm
Where? Palace Gate Centre, Palace Gate, Exeter, EX11JA
How? Book tickets for free through the Eventbrite link HERE
Thanks so much to those who have booked already, please do share with your
own contacts to encourage more folks to come along.
The workshop has been run 8 times across England in
Leicester, Bristol, Lancaster, Berkhamstead, Lewes, Cambridge, Southampton and
an early version in London. We feel its really useful to check in and reflect on
your transition activity with others as well as explore the benefits of a
regional network.
Do come if you think that's worth a day!
If you haven't signed up already it would be
really useful if you can sign up by Friday 8th September so we can
figure out logistics - thanks!
Finally, just a reminder that I'm gathering up all
the content and feedback from each workshop to analyse for both my MSc study and
for feeding a conversation about Transition across England and the connection
with the International Scene. So I'll have a sound recorder with me and will be
photographing etc, hope that's ok. I'll also share all the content generated
with you after the workshop if thats helpful for the conversation in
Cornwall.
Please do keep your eyes on the Facebook
event for discussion and notices - I'll also email out, as needed, with
critical details to connect with those not on Facebook. Th
Any questions or thoughts, please do get in
touch!
Transition Regional Networks Workshop covering South West of England Tickets, Sat, 23 Sep 2017 at 10:00 | Eventbrite
With more info here:
Facilitators Mike Thomas (Transition Network) and Richard
Couldrey (Transition Town Tooting) helped to develop the London and SE hub.
They believe that Transition groups in a region will know how best to define
what their regional network does and how it functions. This workshop explores whether
there is energy for a regional network, what its function should be and how to
develop it.
The workshop has been developed out of work carried out in
London and the South East where groups came together and co-designed a
functioning regional network. The network developed through using a series of
exercises to come up with ideas and plans and it is these exercises that form
the basis of the workshop. London now has a really thriving network that meets
regularly, shares information and has arranged events together. We want to help
other networks to develop based on the great stuff that has happened there to
create thriving networks throughout England.
