A pier with op: providing a year round venue, theatre, museum, and a viewing platform to enjoy the coast. Back on the land there is a community square, available for a variety of use.
By redirecting the flow of traffic, introducing a multi purpose use square, and intensifying the presence of buildings, featurin a red sandstone faced building that would sit out in the water like an outcrg arts, eating and residential, the square would reconnect Port Royal with the town centre.
A scheme to open up the River Sid and connect the seafront with the byes, using extensive hardscape and landscape. There would also be new buildings built alongside the Ham.
A plan which is broken down into three elements – river walk and coastal path, water front spaces (harbour and sea pool), and a range of buildings (including restaurants, retail and residential) and public spaces.
Kennaway House is open from 10am to 4.30pm with the opportunity to make your views known all week.
